Customize trainee profile-field labels

Agency profile-field settings let administrators label additional trainee information to match how the agency organizes its training groups.

For example, an agency may want to identify a trainee’s academy class or session. A larger agency may also want a label for a district or area.

Review profile-field settings

  1. Sign in as an administrator.
  2. Open Admin and the agency’s profile-field settings.
  3. Review the available labels and decide what each will represent.
  4. Enter clear labels that match your agency’s terminology.
  5. Save using the control provided on the page.

Choose consistent labels

Use a recognizable label such as "Academy Class," "Session," or "District," according to the information your agency intends to record. Explain the expected format to staff so values are entered consistently.

Before repurposing a field already in use, review the existing values. Changing a label can change how staff interpret information previously entered in that field.

Check the trainee view

Open a trainee profile or management page where the configured fields appear. Confirm the labels are clear and the existing values still make sense.

Profile labels describe trainee information. They are separate from the daily-record location or beat label and from program-role assignments.

Need a different kind of field?

If the available profile fields do not fit the information your agency needs to track, contact support before using an existing field for a different purpose.
