Create or import a training program

Administrators can create a training program from scratch or import an available model template. Choose the starting point that best matches your agency’s training process, then review its settings before enrolling trainees.

Choose your starting point

  • Start from scratch: Create a blank program and build the content and settings your agency needs.
  • Import a template: Start with the content and settings supplied for an available training model, then adapt them to your agency.

A template can save setup time, but it still needs review. Model names alone do not confirm that its scale, categories, objectives, forms, and workflows match your agency’s procedures.

Open Training Programs

  1. Sign in as an administrator.
  2. Open Admin → Training Programs.
  3. Review any programs already listed before creating another.

Create a program from scratch

  1. Select Add Program.
  2. Enter the program name.
  3. Review the initial labels for trainee and trainer.
  4. Use the displayed control to create the program.
  5. Open its name or Settings to continue setup.

Import an available template

  1. Review the templates offered on the Training Programs page.
  2. Choose the model appropriate to your agency’s process.
  3. Use the template’s import control and follow the displayed prompts.
  4. Open the resulting program and review its configuration.

The available template list may change. If you are unsure which starting point fits your process, contact DORWorks support before building out the program.

Review the program before rollout

Check the terminology, phases, scale and assessment categories, objectives, checklists, forms, and approval workflows. Configure the locations, shifts, staff assignments, resources, and other features your program uses.

Save administrative changes using the controls provided. Use the practice trainee and test roles to review the complete process before active training begins.

Keep separate programs deliberate

If your agency uses multiple training programs, give each a recognizable name and review its settings and staff roles independently. Check the agency’s program-slot availability and applicable billing terms before adding another program.
