Create and use DOR tags
Tags add a visible label to a daily training record so staff can recognize a particular type of day or issue. Your agency chooses the tags appropriate to its training program.
Examples include a non-evaluation day, a performance improvement plan, or another agency-defined training designation.
Create a program tag
- Open Admin → Training Programs.
- Select the intended program’s name or Settings.
- Open Tags.
- Select the option to add a new tag.
- Enter the tag name and review its point value and any optional internal code.
- Choose a color from the available options and set the display order.
- Save the tag and confirm it is enabled.
Use short names that staff can recognize and explain what each tag means in your agency’s procedures.
Select a tag when creating a DOR
- Confirm the correct active trainee and program.
- Select New DOR.
- Review the available tags near the bottom of the creation form.
- Select the tag appropriate to that day’s training.
- Complete the remaining fields and create the DOR.
The selected tag appears on the daily record and in the DOR list, helping staff identify records with that designation.
Edit or disable a tag
Return to the program’s Tags settings to edit an existing tag or disable one you no longer want offered. Review existing uses before changing a tag’s meaning.
Use tags alongside the training record
A tag is a label, so it should accompany an accurate narrative and the other documentation your agency requires. A tag named "Non-evaluation day" does not by itself establish how assessments are calculated or excluded from reports. Confirm any related assessment or reporting settings separately.
A tag is unavailable
Check that the tag belongs to the correct program and has not been disabled. Ask your program administrator if the available tags do not include the designation your agency requires.
