Organize training program teams

Teams let your agency group supervisors, FTOs, and trainees within a training program. Where configured, those groups can be used for approval routing and training-alert recipients.

Teams are optional. Your agency can use program staff assignments without organizing people into teams.

Open the program’s teams

  1. Open Admin → Training Programs.
  2. Select the correct program’s name or Settings.
  3. Open Teams.
  4. Select the team you want to manage.

Your agency might organize teams around shifts or other training groups. Use the structure that matches how your agency manages training.

Add people to a team

  1. Review the team’s supervisor, FTO, and trainee sections.
  2. In the appropriate section, select the person you want to add.
  3. Select Add.
  4. Confirm the person appears in the intended section of the team.

Staff should already have the appropriate program assignment. Team membership and program roles are separate parts of setup.

Check approval and alert settings

After changing team membership, review any program workflows or alert settings that use teams. A workflow or alert must be configured to use the intended team or team supervisors for that grouping to affect routing.

Use a practice record to check that the expected person receives the next approval task or alert.

Keep teams current

Review membership when people change shifts, training assignments, or supervisory responsibilities. Use the available membership controls to reflect the current team, then check any affected workflow or alert settings.

A person is missing or a task reaches the wrong reviewer

Check the person’s program role, team membership, and the workflow or alert’s recipient settings. Contact your administrator or DORWorks support if those settings appear correct but routing is unexpected.
