DORWorks Overview

Who this is for

FTOs, supervisors, and program admins doing field training work. You must be assigned to the program with an appropriate role.

Active trainee context

Most staff workflows are trainee-scoped:

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Select the trainee you are working with (active trainee card).
  3. The app remembers this choice for DORs, checklists, objectives, and many reports.

Any FTO in the program may work with any trainee in that program unless your agency policy says otherwise. Each DOR records who evaluated (the evaluating FTO on the DOR).

If no trainee is selected, New DOR and checklist/objective links prompt you to choose one first.

Creating a DOR

Start a new DOR

DORs → New DOR (or Dashboard actions when a trainee is active).

  1. Confirm trainee and program on the header.
  2. If a draft exists for today, you can continue it instead of starting duplicate work.
  3. Enter header fields: date, phase, shift, location, DOR # / day # (if your program uses them), training week, tags.
  4. Open the full DOR editor to complete:
    • Narrative / comments
    • Ratings by category (hidden for phases with assessments disabled, when configured)
    • Shift activities / Events — cases, calls, or training events with optional participation level and custom fields
    • Attachments
  5. Save draft as you go.
  6. Submit when the DOR is ready — triggers supervisor workflow if required.

Supervisor approval

When the program requires it, supervisors approve DORs after FTO submission. Trainees may view and/or acknowledge per program settings.

Dashboard

The trainee dashboard shows phase progress, DOR counts, time in training, and assessment charts (may be hideable per program or trainee preference).

Staff with chart-toggle permission see Show charts / Hide charts for trainees when the program allows it.

Checklists

Checklists in the sidebar (for the active trainee).

  • Matrix of checklist items vs completion options.
  • Check boxes in order unless your agency configured otherwise.
  • Trainee signature columns when required.
  • Supervisor approval when required.
  • Download PDF where offered.

Objectives

Objectives nav — dropdown by phase when the program associates objectives with phases; single link when not.

  • Matrix of objectives vs completion options.
  • Check the next open step in each row, unless Always show completion step checkbox is enabled on the program (then the final completion column is always available).
  • Supervisor approval when configured — approves the entire objective line.
  • Undo supervisor approval — supervisors, program admins, and agency admins see an undo control next to a completed supervisor stamp. Use when the wrong line was approved; the line returns to pending Approve state. An optional reason is saved in the line comment as an audit note.
  • Supervisor correction of check-offs — the same roles can remove staff check-offs when fixing mistakes. Work backward from the completed column: undo supervisor approval first (if set), then undo trainee sign-off (if set), then remove the rightmost staff check-off (×), then earlier columns one at a time. FTOs can remove only their own last check-off; supervisors can remove any staff check-off in sequence, including another FTO's mark.
  • Comments on lines (auto-save when you leave the field).
  • Remove your last mark with the × control when allowed.
  • The page scrolls back to the line after each check-off.
  • Download PDF for the trainee's objective matrix.

Forms

When your program uses forms, access them from the Forms nav section — complete or review submissions per program workflow.

Reports

Reports menu — filtered to the active trainee where applicable:

  • Trainee summary, phase, weekly, monthly, end of phase/program
  • FTO training calendar — program-wide view of planned FTO days and submitted DOR history. Supervisors and program admins can plan single days or date ranges using schedule patterns including the 2-week Panama / Pitman rolling 14-day rotation, weekdays, 5/6 on–2 off, or rolling 3-on/2-off cycles. Use Clear planned days to bulk-remove mistaken plans. FTOs view only. Event colors identify trainees; dashed borders = planned, solid = submitted DOR. Export PDF or Export CSV for the full schedule in current filters.
  • Training time, task types, text search, workflow status (as enabled)

Always confirm the correct trainee and program before exporting or printing.

Resources

Resources sidebar:

  • Resource library — program documents
  • Rating categories / Rating scale — read-only reference for evaluators

Analytics

Agency-level charts and metrics (admins, FTOs, and supervisors with access). Program-scoped filtering applies.

My Profile (staff)

  • Password, contact info, signature (required for some checklist/objective acknowledgments)
  • Profile photo

Tips

  • Use John Doe and a test program before go-live.
  • Keep one browser tab's active trainee in mind — switching trainees mid-shift changes all linked pages.
  • Program labels (FTO, Phase, Events, etc.) come from Program → Settings — your screens may differ from another agency's.
